Gov. Fayose Under Attack Over Comment Against Buhari

The Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has come under heavy attack following his remarks against President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption program.

It would be recalled that the fiery governor said that Buhari’s administration should “just go ahead and carry out the probe” of the previous administration of Goodluck Jonathan, rather than making “announcements in the media.”

He alleged that the current administration was only playing to the gallery saying: “From all indications, it is obvious that the probe they are talking about is targeted at some people and if activities of anti-graft agencies during the tenure of President Buhari are going to be selective, the president should know that the world is watching.”

The governor’s comment has however triggered the ire of Bosun Oladele, a member of the House of Representatives and former Oyo state Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

Taking a swipe at Governor Fayose , Oladele, who is representing the Irepodun/Orelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency of Oyo state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described the governor  as a rabble rouser.

He said: “Fayose is just a meddlesome interloper. He is a rabble rouser. It is only him that sees ghosts where everybody sees lives.  He should not start talking about Buhari probing on the pages of the newspapers.

“He should wait for him because, he (Buhari) is coming to him. Fayose will get his own bit of it. I think from all indications of what he has been seeing, he has started developing butterfly in his stomach but he shouldn’t wait for too long, he will start feeling the heat and that is exactly why he is talking when everybody is supposed to keep quiet.”

Meanwhile, Governor Fayose has described the state pavilion project constructed by the past administration of Kayode Fayemi as a deceit to the good people of the state.The project which allegedly gulped a whopping sum of about N3.3 billion was said to be in a poor state.
