8 Dead,101 Injured In Ghastly Gas Explosion In Jos This Morning

Good morning went bad today Jos this morning as they witnessed a Gas explosion in the early hour of the morning at the Plateau State Water Board which claimed 8 Lives and left 101 people injured. 

The state Government released a press statement following the horrific happening comforting the people that the matter is under control and the injured are being hospitalized.

In the press statement by Emmanuel Nanle, the director of press and public affairs to Governor Simon Lalong;
“One hundred and one (101) people are receiving treatment at OLA Hospital, Evangel Hospital (Jankwano), Plateau Specialist Hospital and Airforce Hospital, some of which have been discharged, Eight ( people have been confirmed dead as a result of the inhalation of the contaminated air” “There was an excess Chlorine inhalation from an exploded Chlorine Cylinder by residents around the Lamingo Water Board Treatment Plant” “The contamination has been contained and does not affect the water supplied to Public Mains. Water from the public mains is safe for consumption and is not affected in anyway”
