General Buhari Meets Journalist He Jailed As Military Ruler (See Photos)

Nigeria’s president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari met with Mr. Tunde Thompson, a journalists he jailed by the Decree 4 in 1984.

Thompson, was a member of the Media Team that worked tirelessly to ensure Buhari won the last presidential election. Buhari praised Thompson for rising above his jail experience to forgive and support him, adding that, what happened under his military regime was one of the challenges of that period.

Similarly, Buhari commended members of his campaign media team led by Malam Shehu Garba for running a very “decent media campaign” despite the vigorous hate campaigns mounted against him by the Peoples Democratic Party.

Buhari, who received members of his Media Team and Social Media Influencers at the Defence House, Abuja on Tuesday, 5 May was full of praises for the APC Presidential Campaign Media & Publicity members and said the members have reason to thank God and celebrate the success of the entire campaign.
