President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has relieved the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Dr. Femi Thomas, of his appointment with immediate effect.
The President has also approved the appointment of Olufemi A. Akingbade as the Acting Executive Secretary of the scheme.
The sack was announced on Monday via a statement by presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati.
