The Benue commissioner slumps, dies days after calling General Buhari ‘quarter to die’ The Benue State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mr. Aondowase Chia, slumped and later died in the hospital.
Chia is the second commissioner in the ministry to die in office under the administration of Governor Gabriel Suswam.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prof. Saint Gbilekaa, who led members of the state executive council on a sympathy visit to the family of the deceased in Makurdi, the state capital, described the death as sad and very unfortunate.
The moral lesson behind this incident is that only God holds the key to the life of man. We can only predict a man’s death, we can’t determine it.
