Letter To Our Mothers, Written By Adesina Oluwaseun

Thank God for the privilege of having you. Further more, thank you for being a true mother. In times past, we may have wished for some other character or look for you but its clearer now that we could not have had a better life if not for what you are and who you stand as. Indeed, we have enjoyed the grace of God almighty for giving us the gift called a mother.

It's not that we are better off than other people who are mother-less for one reason or the other. This is not to say that i'm writing this to make them feel bad but rather this is to praise the place of our mothers in our lives.

In recent times, the realization of the training you gave in the earlier days is paying off today. One can but wonder how it was thought to be mean of you then not knowing that you were doing a favor that could never be repaid.

The days of preparing for school early in the morning, making breakfast while thinking of what was next for lunch and dinner, the times when you had to discomfort yourself just to make us you children comfortable, the nights and days you nursed us back to good health.

Despite our periodic disagreements you did not leave or forsake us. Its obvious your consolation each time we disagree is "if we your children knew better, we would not act as such". Your understanding is beyond what we can ever understand. A mother's love for her child....... hmmmmm!!!! Its deep!

We am overwhelmed by your sacrifices. It's true that Mothers are Golden!!! You just never fade off or loose value.

Dear mother, today is your day, a day like no other. Shine like a star that you are, enjoy good health, peace of mind and God's love. We hope and pray that God makes us never loose the love you have for us.
