My Mother Suffered For Not Having Male Children – Actress Ruth Kadiri

Nollwyood actress and movie producer Ruth Kadiri took to her IG to share the painful story of what her mother went through for not having a male child. She wrote; 
“My mother doesn't have male children, and she suffered for it in marriage but today, she looked at me with teary eyes and says to me, "Ruth you're worth more than ten sons". My heart Goes out to all women who are made to suffer Becos they didn't have male children. God is the giver of children. Have peace”

  2. Leave Nigerian men and backwards mentality. So a son is better than the daughter that might marry but will always take care of you. Your son will marry and has to focus on his home. All children are God's gift.

  3. A child is a good thing n a blessing to d household not minding d sex...tnkGod that tradition is. Now story in some communities....just give ur child d best training n u will be smiling at d end...am happy for her

  5. Rightly said children are gifts from God,I can imagine what her mom,must have gone through...besides we all know how importance it is having a male child ...and am pretty sure it was tradition dat made her mom's case that way..buh now..I belive civilization has gotten to d villages too

  7. Female children take care of their families more,but it all depends, some guys dey wey dey take good care of their parents, but u see,children are gift from God

  8. It doesn't matter either male or female child. But, having a male child is something every father would desire, eventhough it doesn't neccesarily translate that he would be a success. Though it serve as a security to the female members of the family, and also a heir to the father. But every child is a child.
