Lamenting that the nation bleeds under the yoke of “crippling poverty, sheer impunity, economic downturn and insecurity,” Obasanjo charged leaders who are elected to make things better for the people but do otherwise to know that they would “give account to God.”
The former president made this known on Monday morning when the Southwest women leaders including the Iyaloja – General of Nigeria, Chief Folashade Tinubu – Ojo, visited him at his Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
His words, “Nigeria does not deserve the situation it found itself. Our nation bleeds in poverty, economic downturn, sheer impunity and insecurity.”
Iyalode of Yorubaland, Chief Alaba Lawson led the visiting women leaders, among who was the National President (Women Wing), Christian Association of Nigeria, to Obasanjo’s Abeokuta Hilltop mansion.
Baba in as much as i respect and adore u,but i must say that u were part of the reason why we are where we are.many past leaders including u failed to do the right thing and u all expect GEJ to change everything over night.GEJ is doing his best and all of us must suprt him. God bless Naij
