If you are one of those curious minds like me then you will find this post very interesting. Read below;
Most of us aren’t in the least bothered by our own farts, even if it’s one of those eggy ones that smells like it came from Satan’s own bunghole - but if someone else does the same, it’s a rush to open the windows and pass the smelling salts.
ASAP Science has the answer – and it’s all to with farts from strangers spreading disease.
There are 70 billion farts on Earth each day, counted meticulously by fart experts – which means your bottom burps, on average, 10 times a day.
Your own farts tend to smell reassuring, or even bring on a sense of grudging pride – because they are familiar, due to your own mix of gut bacteria. ‘Your farts are like a personal brand,’ say the researchers.
But when a neighbour lets off a ‘beefy eggo’ near you, your reaction is pure disgust, triggered, the researchers say, by the fear of disease.
Back in the dawn of bottoms, when our ancestors wore no clothing, farts could spread disease – or were a good way to spot a carrier.
‘Smelling other people’s farts aren’t good for you.
‘Certain diseases could spread via farts, particularly when wearing trousers were uncommmon. A bug, Streptococcus pyogeneses, carried in fart gas, can lead to tonsillitis, and worse.’
The quite natural terror we feel at a stinky fart is even worse when one is ‘silent but violent’.
‘The reaction is all the more profound when you don’t know who did it,’ the researchers say.
‘Unless you are alone then you can bask in the glory of your own stench’
There’s even an explanation for why silent ones smell like nerve gas.

This research is partly true. Moreso, silent farts are more smelly than those loud ones.lol
